MEET THE FOUNDERs
Hi, We're Mr. Pishon & Ms. Sharon!
Mr. Pishon is a tutor who specializes in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Business Studies. He earned a degree in Banking, Finance, and Marketing from Monash University. In order to provide students with a solid foundation and confidence to study for their IGCSE and Checkpoint exams, he established The Pishon Method in 2013. After failing Mathematics in high school, he decided to become a tutor because he didn't want other students to experience what he had, which led to the founding of The Pishon Method. He has coached over 500 to 1000 students from more than 20 International schools in the Klang Valley.
Ms. Sharon is an experienced educator in the Early Years and Lower Primary since 2013. She graduated from University of Greenwich with a Bachelors in Early Years Education. She has a passion for child development and creating engaging learning environments. She joined venture with Mr. Pishon in late 2024 to pioneer the Primary curriculum for The Pishon Method after leaving her 7 years teaching career at an international school.
Together, they combine their expertise in a decade in the education field to design innovative and inclusive educational experiences that nurture student's growth, character and curiosity.

Why learn Primary Science with The Pishon Method?
Ms Sharon and Ms Sabrina has wealth of experience in teaching science with Ms Sharon teaching Science from Early Years to Primary and Ms Sabrina who has a Degree in Animal Science and experience as a Vet assistant in New Zealand and Malaysia. She loves animals and children and is the perfect tutor for your child, bringing science to life!
Why learn Primary English with The Pishon Method?
Ms Amanda Claire have had a strong interest in the language and psychology field
from a young age. Although it was not a part of her initial life plan, her prior experiences with clients has grown her passion for children in so many ways. Her understanding and experience with Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) has made her fall completely in love with it, and she aspires to grow in this field and help to contribute to it in any way.
Why learn Primary Mathematics with The Pishon Method?
Mr Pishon has sucessfully taught students how to conceptualize word problems into bar models for complex topics such as ratio and fractions. He has also introduced different strategies for solving various ratio questions. Start your kids young with Mr Pishon, and they will grasp ratios and fractions and be a master at it!
Why Secondary Mathematics with The Pishon Method?
Mr. Pishon was a weak student in Mathematics and failed a core math paper during his Year 9.
Despite his weakness in Mathematics, he did not give up. He restarted from Year 7 again and completed Year 7 math to Year 9 Mathematics in just 6 months and managed to complete his Year 10 & 11 the following 1.5 years to graduate with an A* in his IGCSE exams. Through this, he has developed a better understanding of the core pillars of Mathematics and has helped more than 100 students improved their IGCSE Mathematics grades!
Why Additional Mathematics with The Pishon Method?
We have Ms Esher, Mr Zhi Hao, and
Mr James who are able to help breakdown difficult Additional Mathematics concepts into smaller fragments for students to digest.
They also work hand in hand with Mr Pishon to feedback on the support needed in case the student needs actual fundamental help with their Mathematics.
Our tutors have substantial Additional Mathematics learnings in their high school, college and university days and have been tutoring at The Pishon Method for the long term and have coach many students to their A/A* for their Additional Mathematics!
Why Chemistry with The Pishon Method?
Mr. Pishon has helped many students master difficult topics such as Chemical bonding, Mole Calculations, Redox, Electroysis and Organic Chemistry!
Mr. Pishon scored a 100 percentile in his IGCSE O level exams and has helped many of his students get their A*s as well!
Why Biology with The Pishon Method?
We have Mr Daniel, a 4th year medical student. He wasn't always motivated or certain about his future. Everything changed when a teacher believed in him and sparked his love for Biology. Today, he is studying medicine with experiences in Ireland and Penang, involved in research, and still driven by curiosity. He believe great teaching goes beyond content and it's also about believing in students and guiding them to see their potential. That is why he teaches at The Pishon Method and he can help you get your A or A* in IGCSE Biology!

What class sizes are available?
One to one
One to four (Max)
What is the duration of our tuition classes?
Our experience tells us that 1.5 hours is the sweet spot for revision and learning. However, we are able to adjust the duration of the classes based on student's need and budget.
Do we do house calls?
No we do not. However, our physical home centre is open for classes at PJ SS25 Taman Mayang.
Which syllabus do we teach?
Our main focus is on Checkpoints and IGCSE however we do cater to SPM students on an ad hoc basis.
I want to retake my IGCSE exams in 3-6 months time, can it be done?
Yes, with one to one intensive classes 2 to 3 sessions a week with our highly experienced tutors who have guided students in this similar scenario before.
